Cornish Cockles are cultivated and sustainably harvested by hand in micro-tidal waters around the Cornish harbours. Once harvested, these cockles are cleaned, purified in natural seawater, and packed live to order in eco-friendly boxes at our depuration and dispatch centre, Wild Harbour Fish Company, Hayle, Cornwall.

Cooking & Storage
Before cooking, firstly give them a rinse to wash away any sand or dirt. To steam them, pick a large pan with a lid. Bring a cup of water to the boil and add a splash of lemon juice or white wine vinegar. Place the cockles in the pan, and cover. It will only take a couple of minutes for them to cook, and then shells to spring open. The orange cockle inside can then easily be picked out and eaten.
For the freshest and best flavour, store Cockles in the fridge and consume within 1-2 days from delivery. Cockles must be cooked prior to consumption. Not suitable for home freezing.

We use a DPD Next Day courier service for all our deliveries, and we aim to dispatch orders within 48 to 72 hours of receiving them through our website. To be able to keep our shipping as eco-friendly as possible, we have a minimum order value of £30.00.
Spend over £50.00 for FREE delivery on weekday UK Mainland delivery, this offer does not apply to Saturday delivery. For all orders under £50.00 there is a small delivery charge of £2.95 to anywhere in the UK Mainland via DPD courier. For all orders that have requested Saturday delivery there is a charge of £9.95. Due to the nature of our product, we can only ship to mainland UK
Delivery includes an award-winning environmentally friendly wool liner to help keep the fresh seafood cold and is fully biodegradable and recyclable. All fresh products are vacuum sealed for freshness and labelled for your convenience.
